Quality service is not just a “buzz” word at R+L Carriers. We take our commitment to quality very seriously, spending $1 million each year in this endeavor. R+L Carriers’ Quality Program involves all our associates because we know that quality service doesn’t just happen; it is only achieved through training, education, communication, and motivation.
Our team of Quality Directors continuously travels our terminal network providing hands-on training. It is their job to monitor the proper use of equipment and see that the correct freight handling procedures are in place. Other facets of the Program include the use of videos for education and feedback. Video production has been brought in-house so that immediate action can be taken when a problem is identified. A complete video training library is maintained at every terminal. Additionally, dock and driver Quality Team meetings are held system-wide.
Our Quality Program is directly responsible for leading us to the development of new techniques and tools for handling your freight. As an example, we now use logistic load bars in our trailers. These aid in protecting your freight from origin to destination by allowing the freight to be double-stacked without the upper freight touching the lower freight.
